A lifelong digital design enthusiast, I began developing websites professionally in 1998 after several years as an internationally recognized medical illustrator at The Ohio State University.
Over the past 18 years as a project-based freelancer and consultant, my experience includes multiple engagements in agency and corporate setings, as well as academia, startups, online services and more.
I have had numerous full time professional roles including User Research & Testing, Information Architecture & Information Design, and Visual UI Design. For the past several years I have focused on providing thought leadership, UX Strategy and mentoring to junior and mid-level UX practitioners on multidisciplinary teams.
I am set up to travel on immediate notice whenever needed for extended onsite stays at the agency or client. I also maintain an office/studio space where I can conduct a full UX practice remotely, with current licenses for Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office & Visio, Axure, and other high-end professional graphics, game development and virtual reality applications.
